This painting is about leaving behind the corporate grind that once defined so much of my daily life. The grid reminds me of the cubicles I sat in, and the shredded paper stands for tearing apart that world and moving on. Even though I’ve stepped away, that experience is still a part of me something I can’t erase completely. Through this work, I’m claiming that past while also marking my decision to build a life as an artist instead.
