Gridlock is about corporate life and the way coworkers fit or don’t fit into that environment. The grid reflects the cubicles I once worked in, but each shape has its own personality. Some are oversized, representing those who push themselves up the chain of command by bullying or forming cliques. Others are small, isolated, and left out. The darker shapes fade into the background, like the people who just show up, do the work, and avoid politics. For me, this piece captures the tension of that world, a system that traps everyone in its grid.
